Plan on about 45 minutes.
That time is on purpose. Every question gets an answer.
Dr. Elizabeth Johnson, OD, takes her time, so you leave with clear answers and the right prescription. If your eyes are dilated, light may feel bright for a few hours, which is one more reason to bring those sunglasses.

Questions, answered.
- What should I bring to my eye exam?
- Your health insurance ID card, your vision plan information, your current prescription glasses and polarized sunglasses, your contact lens boxes, copies of previous vision prescriptions and exam records if you have them, and a list of current medications.
- Why should I bring my contact lens boxes?
- The boxes show the brand, power and fit of the lenses you wear now, which helps Dr. Johnson check and update your contact lens prescription.
- How long does an eye exam take?
- Plan on about 45 minutes with Dr. Elizabeth Johnson, OD.
- Will my eyes be dilated?
- Sometimes. If they are, light may feel bright and near vision may be blurry for about 4 to 6 hours, so bringing sunglasses helps.
- Which insurance plans do you accept?
- We accept many medical and vision plans. See our insurance page, or call (952) 222-3578 and we'll help you check.
